21st Annual Willard Revolutionary War Reenactment & Encampment
The eighth grade class cordially invites you to the 21st annual Willard Revolutionary War Reenactment and Encampment at Willard Middle School. Students will reenact famous events and battle scenes from the era, like the Lexington and Concord, Monmouth, Valley Forge, and Yorktown. Wearing period clothing, students will be learning crafts and activities such as tin punching, paper making, land surveying, military drilling, hearth kettle cooking, food preservation, knitting, pottery, and more. General George Washington may even make an appearance.
Saturday morning students will portray life in the encampment for the community. The Revolutionary War Reenactment and Encampment benefits the students by participating in authentic representations of the home and daily life of minutemen and colonial citizens. The community is invited to journey back in time between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Friday and between 8AM and 3PM on Saturday.
